Our Beliefs:

GOD

We believe that there is only one God who expresses himself in three ways known as the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things and made them good. Jesus who though is apart of God is called the Son of God. He has always existed with God and the Holy Spirit. He is fully God and left Heaven to save us by redeeming all things back to himself. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was both fully human and fully God; He lived a sinless life, He suffered and was crucified as an atonement for sin. After three days Christ rose again from the dead. Over 500 people witnessed the resurrected Christ, and after forty days He ascended into Heaven and will return in victory to rule forever. The Holy Spirit is also apart of God along with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word for His people. While the Bible was written by human authors, it was under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is t is reliable, and without error. It guards, penetrates, purifies and transforms our heart. The goal of God’s Word is to grow us in our maturity to look more like Jesus.

(Helpful Scriptures: 2 Samuel 22:31, Psalm 119, John 15, Romans 12, Colossians 1, Philippians 2).

MAN

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. God created all things good including us. However, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life. We are all people in need of God’s grace, which is found only in Jesus.

People were created to exist forever. We will either live eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

SALVATION

We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. We believe that to receive salvation someone must hear about Jesus and believe in Him.  We believe that once you have decided that you're going to follow Jesus for the rest of your life your life will never be the same again! That is why we teach repentance which essentially means we are sorry for the sin we have and want to make a change. Our immediate next step is to be baptized into Christ. Baptism is where one fully emerges into water symbolizing the death and burial of Christ. When we rise out of the water, we start a new life with Jesus and the Holy Spirit living within us just as Christ rose from the dead. Although we believe that baptism is the point where we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and begin that new relationship with Christ is we know that it is not the end goal. Once we are baptized, we must strive to live a life with our Savior and discover the amazing life Has for us.
